Independent manufacture of a simple and reliable electrical appliance designed for tinning copper wires, cable leads with tin-lead solder. It will be useful primarily for electricians, electricians. Electric tinplate tested over many years of use.

Electric tinning allows tinning of wire with a cross section of up to 35 mm².

Size of the tin: long (with handle) - 200 mm, height - 80 mm, cylinder diameter - 70 mm.

Advantages: cheap to manufacture, mobility, low weight, in the off state for a long time keeps the operating temperature, the ability to work outdoors, fast heating.

Disadvantages: lack of thermal relay.

Production time: 3 hours.

Materials for making Chumichki:

• metal tube: diameter - 15 mm, length - 75 mm;

• top cover: metal sheet with a diameter of 70 mm, a thickness of 2 mm, in the center a hole with a diameter of 20 mm;

• bottom: metal sheet with a diameter of 70 mm, a thickness of 2 mm .;

• welding electrode 1 pc., diameter 5 mm;

• electric terminal block, spiral for iron with ceramic scales-insulators;

• diode D-215;

• 1 meter power cable;

• insulation tape;

• asbestos sheet, size: 250 mm × 75 mm;

• external protection made of thin iron or aluminum sheet material, size: 300 mm × 100 mm.

The sequence of work on the manufacture of electric louder:

1. Locksmith work: we prepare blanks for welding.

2. Welding: we weld the lid and the bottom to the tube, bend the handle from the electrode (in shape - a slingshot, at the edges along the edges 5 mm - bend the legs), attach the handle to the bottom.

3. Electrical work: install the terminal block in the base of the handle, wind the spiral onto the cylinder, connect the diode and power cable to the terminal block, isolate the diode with dielectric material and attach it to the handle, add wooden covers to the handle and fix it with insulation tape.

4. Installation of asbestos sheet around the spiral and external protection of thin iron or aluminum sheet material.

The electric tin is ready to go. Use flux before tinning.
