The installation procedure for wiring in a country house depends on type of wiring. Hidden or open - the choice of one or another option determines all the technology and all the difficulties that a homeowner will have to go through when electrifying his country residence.

Open wiring, the installation of which is connected with the direct laying of the cable on the walls and ceiling, has long become an anachronism and a thing of the past. If wooden house, with a deliberate lack of interior decoration, such installation is contrary to fire safety rules. And in all other cases, an open cable routing openly spoils the interior. The latter applies to open wiring in corrugated and smooth pipes.

Therefore, open wiring in country houses is usually performed in plastic cable ducts. According to the color of the interior decoration, you can choose the appropriate box, purchase it with a margin and install the cable route.

In this case, such simple materials and tools will be required: a cordless drill / driver with a cross bit and a thin drill, wood screws, an assembly knife (or a metal blade, or a grinder with a cutting disc), a construction pencil (or a thin marker).

If the box is mounted on a concrete or brick wall, then a perforator and plastic dowels will be required, and the process itself will be much more time-consuming.

In order to simplify the installation of cable channels and achieve the best result, it will be superfluous to use special fittings specifically for the duct on which you chose.

These fittings include corners, joints, transitions, crosses and plugs. All this, as well as junction boxes suitable specifically for plastic boxes, will allow even a novice to install wiring in cable channels at a very decent level.

The advantages of wiring in cable channels are obvious. After preparing the cable route, with a well-selected cross-section of the ducts, the installation of the cable itself no longer poses absolutely no difficulties.

In addition, if necessary, the modernization and repair of such wiring is also not at all difficult: by opening the box lid, we get free access to all cable routes.

The disadvantage of such wiring can be recognized that the appearance of plastic boxes in some cases can also spoil the interior.

Installation of hidden wiring in a country house

For those to whom the cable channel does not fit categorically, there remains one choice - hidden electrical wiring.

If building material allows (brick, concrete, various building blocks), then you can arm yourself with a perforator or grinder and make strobes throughout the cable route. The geometrical dimensions of the strobe are not strictly stipulated, if only it was sufficient to accommodate all cables.

However, one should not forget that it is better to refrain from deeply ditching the load-bearing walls, and the ceiling cannot be ditched at all. If it is necessary to lay lines along such building elements, it will be necessary to mount the cable in a layer of plaster or under the skin in a corrugated pipe. In addition, you can not lay the cables in horizontal grooves between the blocks, or floor panels. This is due to the fact that building structures can precipitate and damage the line.

In wooden houses, hidden electrical wiring can be performed either according to the outline of the plaster, or in metal pipes under the skin. The first method involves fixing the cable with brackets on a layer of plaster, previously applied to a wooden wall.

But with the second method, everything is a little more complicated.Preference is given to him when the wooden walls are not plastered, but sheathed with some kind of sheet material. Then the cable route is pre-mounted from ordinary metal pipes (for example, VGP), connected by welding and / or threaded couplings.

The pipe edges are closed with plastic inserts in order to avoid cable damage, and the horizontal sections of the route should have some counterclone to avoid condensation accumulation.

Pipes for electrical wiring must always be grounded, and plumbing clamps and brackets can be used to secure them. To prevent corrosion of the pipe metal, its inner surface must be painted or galvanized.

Boxes and socket boxes for hidden wiring in pipes they are mounted in voids under the wall sheathing, and there should not be voids and gaps between the walls of these wiring products and pipes.
